Kinnerley School is a wonderful Church of England village Primary school that is committed to inclusive education and meeting the needs of all the children in our care.
Our children are at the heart of all that we do.
With four Owl – themed classes and with a Nursery from aged 2, we strive to be a happy, nurturing and ambitious school for families from the local community and further afield.
The school is a special place, friendly and caring with high aspirations for our children. It is a church school and we fully embrace Christian values, seeking to demonstrate and develop these in our everyday lives.
Our latest SIAMs inspection noted that ‘Kinnerley is a small school with big ambitions. Everyone is welcome.’ They saw that ‘The embedded Christian vision creates an inclusive culture where pupils and adults are nurtured. Through this, members of the school community feel highly valued.’
I am enormously proud to be the Head Teacher here.
We have a wonderful team of talented, hardworking and committed staff who are dedicated to doing the very best for all children.
The school is large enough to provide a broad variety of opportunities but small enough to have a family feel, and for our children to be known well. Family and belonging for us are really important as we seek to build strong relationships with parents and carers as well as the wider community. We are fully supported by our local church and clergy, a strong Governing body, and the Westcliffe Federation of Schools.
Kinnerley is a well-resourced school, situated in extensive grounds and green spaces, where we share a love of outdoor learning.
We want our children to learn together and fulfil their potential, laying the foundations for a lifelong journey of discovery and exploration. We want them to enjoy learning through an active and challenging curriculum. We also want to share this experience with families which we do via our online platform Seesaw. We believe that the most effective learning takes place with teamwork and collaboration with parents.
Our vision is that children should go through the school feeling that it is a happy and stimulating place in which they feel confident and valued, and where everyone seeks to demonstrate mutual respect. They should leave it not only having fulfilled their personal best in terms of academic results, but also equipped to progress to the next stage of their lives with confidence, enthusiasm and the values of kindness, thankfulness, courage and community.
Please take the opportunity to visit us and experience the positive and inspiring atmosphere here. Just call the office to make an appointment – we would be delighted to show you around.
